Hello!
We’re Annie and Rachael, and we are very excited to share with you that we will be raising money for the Headway charity based in South Manchester and Stockport. In February 2025 we are lucky enough to be travelling up the East Coast of Australia, and whilst we are there we are endeavouring to push ourselves out of our comfort zones and get the adrenaline going by partaking in a skydive – at a whopping 15,000 feet!
Headway is a national charity that aims to provide services and information to individuals experiencing a brain injury, as well as support to their families and carers. Annie is a volunteer at the South Manchester and Stockport branch of Headway, and Rachael works at a Personal Injury law firm based in South Manchester, so we both have an understanding of the impacts charities such as Headway have on helping individuals cope in the aftermath of a head injury. The staff and volunteers at Headway provide social support, assistance with rehabilitation, advice on financial struggles and connects its members with healthcare and legal professionals.
The South Manchester and Stockport branch provides regular social drop-in sessions for its members and also additional activities, and trips such as theatre trips and excursions up to the Lake District. Donations help to keep these drop-ins and activities available to the members at little to no cost, and at a time when charities across the country are struggling with funding, it is more important than ever to help support them so they can continue to provide the much needed services.
So please help us to raise money for this amazing charity by donating as much or as little as you can, and we will face our fears and take a leap of faith to show our support and appreciation for all that Headway do!
