We are looking for passionate individuals to join our friendly and committed board of trustees as we look to expand our existing skills base.
There are many reasons why someone may want to become a trustee, what’s yours?
Maybe you would like to give something back to your local community. Perhaps your life has been affected by brain injury, and you want to use your valuable insight to improve the outcomes of others. Your employer may look favourably on those who commit some of their time to help third sector organisations. Whatever your reason, we can assure you that becoming a trustee of Headway South Manchester & Stockport will be a rewarding experience, and one that is truly appreciated by the people supported by us.
The role of trustee is voluntary one and as a member of the board you will play a vital role and actively work with the other trustees to maintain and improve standards within our organisation. This will consist of:
- Once monthly evening meeting on Teams (1 hr meeting).
- Joining our drop-in rota and providing volunteering support at least once a month to our weekly drop-in 1-3pm at Bridge Hall Community Centre, Stockport SK3 8NR)
- We would like you to learn more about our area of expertise and be committed to our core values, aims and objectives. Acting as an ambassador for Headway South Manchester & Stockport we would expect you to do all you can to raise awareness about the effects of brain injury in order to raise our profile in the area and help maximise Headway South Manchester & Stockport’s huge potential.
A small commitment of your time could make all the difference to those in South Manchester & Stockport living with the long-term effects of brain injury.
